The P3ProSwing has 5 different playing modes: three PRACTICE MODES and 2 GAME MODES. They are:

  • PRACTICE (DRIVING) RANGE
  • PRACTICE COURSE
  • PRACTICE GREEN

The 2 game modes are on the right. These are:

  • COURSE GAME
  • GREEN GAME

A Digital Picture of Your Swing Through the Impact Zone

Your golf club is moving at over 130 Kilometers per hour. At that speed even a golf pro can’t see what your club is doing when it impacts the ball but the P3ProSwing can. By using infrared technology and a simple reflective strip placed on the bottom of your club, you can get incredible swing analysis with ease. Using the P3ProSwing, you can see the point of impact and gain additional insight into your club swing and how you impact the ball. You will see visually if your swing path was square through impact, if your club face was square as you made contact with the ball, and what angle of attack your club was on at impact. You can also see where on the club face you made contact with the ball to see if you are using the sweet spot of the club and transferring the most energy you have generated with your swing to the ball.

Swing Path

The club head should follow a Swing Path that matches the intended ball flight at the point of impact. More simply, the head of your club must follow a straight line that hits the ball square or your ball will not go straight. If your swing path is not in a straight line to the intended direction of flight at impact your swing path is either:

  • Inside out - the path is from the inside and moves to the outside
  • Outside In - the path is from the outside and moves to the inside

PLAYING GOLF WITH YOUR P3ProSwing

Review your swing statistics as you hit the ball on a virtual driving range, or as you play the virtual Higlands National golf course. The realistic, 3D golf simulation options turn the P3ProSwing from an analysis tool to an incredibly accurate indoor golf simulator.

As you play the course, you can continue to see swing statistics to identify any bad habits that may be creeping back into your swing as you move from driver to iron and then to your putter. This can make your practice sessions more game-oriented and help you transfer your range practice to game success. By placing the special relective strip on the bottom of each of your clubs, you can use every club in your bag with the P3ProSwing, including your putter.

The P3ProSwing includes the following Swing analysis:
  • Swing Path
  • Club Face Angle
  • Sweet Spot
  • Club speed
  • Swing tempo
  • Up/down swing path
  • Strike location on club face
  • Toe and Heel height
  • Ball Flight Distance
  • Ball Distance From Center Line
  • Ball Speed

Hardware

The P3ProSwing system consists of a 36 x 22 cm, extremely durable, high tech sensing platform and software that captures the information from the 65 sensors and creates a visual representation of the swing data. Just place the reflective tape on the bottom of your club and the P3ProSwing does the rest. You will receive incredibly accurate, completely objective, totally scientific analysis of each swing that you take.

Used with any club in your bag, the P3ProSwing is a complete swing analysis and golf simulation system for golfers of all levels. By using infrared technology and a simple reflective strip placed on the bottom of your club, you can get incredible swing analysis with ease.

From this data, ball flight is predicted, and the ability of the P3ProSwing to predict the shape of the shot is unparalleled. The nuances of fade and draw, push and pull are all generated in a method that delivers a high degree of confidence in the display of the ball flight dynamics.

The P3ProSwing is an extremely accurate measurement device. It can deliver accuracy of:

  • 1° - Swing Path
  • 1° - Club Face Angle
  • 1 MPH - Club Head Speed

Lawson Labs, Inc.

The P3ProSwing is itself a very sophisticated high-speed measurement device. It was designed and developed by engineers that have produced high-resolution measurement devices for NASA. In fact the P3ProSwing is so accurate it is more accurate than any measuring devices used in the industry today to test clubs. Mechanical testing devices currently used cannot measure the interaction of Club Face and Swing Path. They can only measure one swing parameter at a time. The P3ProSwing measures both and is becoming the new standard for measuring club head motion in the industry.

High speed measurement testing of the P3ProSwing has determined that with proper tape alignment the P3ProSwing discerns Swing Path and Club Face Angle to a resolution of 1° and the Club Head Speed is accurate to better than 1 MPH. We know of no other device in the industry with this level of accuracy.

Ball Flight Data Base

Thousands of golf swings and their swing parameters were captured with the P3ProSwing. The actual ball flights and final resting spots were mapped in order to develop proprietary algorithms that accurately predict ball flight. The proprietary ball flight rules were developed under controlled environmental conditions with wind less than 5 mph and standard fairway grass cut with moderate moisture content.

Club Head Speed

The P3ProSwing will give you the most accurate reading of Club Head Speed at the point of impact. P3ProSwing measures Club Head Speed to better than 1 mph. P3ProSwing is so accurate because the tape on the club provides a definitive measurement point that is easily and clearly read by the sensor pad. P3ProSwing is more accurate than radar guns because it has this definitive measurement point and radar guns do not.

The P3ProSwing calculates Club Head Speed differently than a radar gun. The P3ProSwing measures Club Head Speed as the average of the speed in the 3" before impact while radar guns measure Club Head Speed at the fastest point of the club’s arc. The fastest point could be before or after the point of impact and a radar gun could give you erroneous swing speed measurements. If you are comparing the P3ProSwing to a properly set radar gun that has a high degree of accuracy, the P3ProSwing readings will read 2-3% less speed due to the measurement methodology of measuring the average of the 3" before impact with the ball.
